I am a tenure-track assistant professor of Wangxuan Institute of Computer Technology (WICT) at Peking University (PKU). I am also part of the larger Video Information Processing (VIP) group at WICT. Previously, I was a visiting scholar at New York University (NYU), with Prof. Yao Wang. I worked as Boya Postdoctoral Research Fellow at School of Computer Science (SCS) , Peking University with Prof. Wen Gao. I received my PhD from the School of EECS at Peking University in 2020, where I was advised by Prof. Siwei Ma and worked in the National Engineering Research Center of Visual Technology of PKU. Before that, I was an undergraduate student from the School of Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT).
I have broad interests in intelligent video compression (in particular, deep learning based video coding), see my CV. My research topics are three-folds:
I also have been an active participants of two communities: IEEE 1857.11 standard for neural network based image compression and MPAI EEV for end-to-end video coding.
